The Orange Corners Nigeria Excitement Reaches Ogun State!

The Orange Corners Nigeria Incubation Programme, a powerful partnership between the Kingdom of Netherlands and FATE Foundation, is thrilled to announce our expansion into Ogun State! We’ve been empowering aspiring entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into businesses for the past five years, nurturing a whopping 180 businesses through nine incredible cohorts. Witnessing their transformations is a testament to the magic that happens within our dynamic Orange Corners ecosystem.

Developed and funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Lagos and implemented by FATE Foundation, our program has one core mission: to cultivate a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nigeria. We empower young people with the skills and knowledge they need to create economic opportunities for themselves and their communities.

Call for application for Cohort 11 -Start date- 19th April 2024, End Date -26th April

Application
Stage I:

Interested applicants must complete the online form here. Applicants will be required to complete all the required fields and upload the following:

Passport Photograph
School Certificate or Statement of Result
Birth Certificate
CAC Registration (Optional)
Stage II:

Following a review of all received applications, 30 candidates will be shortlisted for a 2-day Bootcamp which will culminate in a Pitch Competition to shortlist the top 20 participants per stream to go through the Incubation programme.

Through the support of the Kingdom of Netherlands Orange Corners, and other Partners, the programme is FREE to entrepreneurs who are shortlisted to the Bootcamp and incubation stage. This scholarship support from Orange Corners Nigeria covers all direct course fees.

The 6-month Incubation programmme comprises of in-person capacity building sessions, business advisory and mentoring, industry visits and networking events. Do note the programme will be delivered in-person and virtually.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, you must be:

Age: Between 18 – 35 years old

Residence: Reside in Lagos

Business Stage: Concept Validation

Sector Preferences: Circular Economy, Agriculture, Health, Water Solutions and Tech

Gender: Strong Focus on a Gender Balance

Digital: Computer Literate and have Access to a Laptop or Data Enabled Device

 

When Can I Apply?

Application for Cohort 10 begins Jan 26, 2024, End Date -Feb 18, 2024

Application for Cohort 11 begins May 6, 2024; End Date Jun 16, 2024

How many entrepreneurs are you selecting per stream?

For each stream, we will be selecting 30 entrepreneurs who will take part in the 2-day Bootcamp and then 20 final entrepreneurs to be shortlisted for the incubation program.

Is there a Fee to Participate?

There is no direct fee to the participants to participate in the programme. The tuition and programme fees are covered by the programme partners. However, participants are expected to be able to get themselves to and from the training venue and cover their transportation expenses as required.

How Do I Know if my Application Has Been Successful?

Only applicants shortlisted to the Bootcamp stage will be contacted.

Can I make changes to my application after I have submitted or do I do a Fresh Application Instead?

No. Once you have submitted it is final and you will not be able to edit the application. Also, multiple entries will be disqualified. We encourage you to verify your application carefully before submitting.

What is the time involvement expected for participants?

Participants will expect to be available for the full 2-day bootcamp and partake in all activities of the 6 month Incubation programme. The selected participants will have access to the full programme agenda and timeline requirements after the completion of the selection process.
