AEP Digital

With most businesses still trying to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic and others faced with the challenge of pivoting their businesses digitally, FATE Foundation launches another edition of our Facebook sponsored “Aspiring Entrepreneurs: Digital Programme which is targeted at startup Founders with innovative business ideas between the ages of 25 – 40 years. This virtual programme is designed to provide the qualified founders with relevant knowledge, tools and skills to grow sustainable and digitally enabled businesses while also impacting the economy positively.

Last year, we redesigned the programme in response to the COVID-19 situation and as an intervention to provide relevant insight and support to aspiring and budding entrepreneurs to enable them see diverse market potentials, understand how to create structured business models that can thrive amidst a crisis situation and also to learn how to understand and leverage digital strategy to grow their businesses. This year, we have taken it a notch higher as we dive more into strengthening and helping these businesses build their resiliency and competitive advantage which in turn will help them generate more revenue and create more jobs.

We are excited that once again, Facebook will be providing the grant support to cover all tuition and programme needs for the selected entrepreneurs this year thereby making it ABSOLUTELY FREE.

To qualify, entrepreneurs must be graduates with startups that have already launched, be computer literate, aged 25-40 years and have access to a digitally enabled device. Each applicant will also be required to upload relevant documents as indicated with detailed information about them and their business as the case might be.

With most businesses on the verge of closing out operations, while others have drastically pivoted into new businesses discarding their original ideas. The AEP Digital (Virtual Edition) curriculum is designed to provide insight to aspiring entrepreneurs to see diverse hidden market potentials despite the ravaging unforeseen changes in the world, help create a structured and practical business model, learn the diverse opportunities available through the various digital tools to grow their businesses. The curriculum is designed to bring business owners into a face to face position with the realities of running a successful enterprise in the new and/or arising entrepreneurship ecosystem laced with implementable strategies that will ensure online visibility using different digital tools and strategies.

These sessions will be facilitated by various industry leaders and professionals across the entrepreneurship ecosystem using a pedagogy approach to build networks amongst the entrepreneurs and encourage group/team work for better learning.
